The stack of books on my bedside table just continues to grow.  The current top of the pile is Social Media Marketing: An Hour a Day, by Dave Evans – “a practical, step-by-step guide for marketers” (ISBN: 978-0-470-34402-6).  It’s one of Sybex’s An Hour a Day series … so there’s plenty of work for me to do.

I’ve not yet completed all the exercises set in the book! But, it has encouraged me to make some enhancements to my web presence:

• I’ve added a link to my Twitter account
• I’ve installed a Plugin that enables me to directly submit new Posts to my Facebook account
• I’ve installed a Plugin that displays a set of Share this Post: icons whenever a Post is viewed
• I’ve opened an Amazon Associate account (well, I am implicitly recommending these books, and if you are following me and purchase a book from Amazon why shouldn’t I get a small commission on the sale?)
• Obviously I’ve installed and configured a Google Analytics Plugin, and an RSS feed Plugin, and
• I’ve included a link to this blog on my business site

There will most likely be future Postings on my experience on reading this book and what I apply to social media marketing.  So, if your interested in this area of marketing do follow me …
